Microsoft Power Platform

Microsoft Power Platform is a line of business intelligence, app development, and app connectivity software applications.

The Power Platform is more than the sum of its parts as it seamlessly connects other products to make one wholistic solution for our customers.  Although it is native to Office 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and many other Microsoft apps it has hundreds of pre-built connectors to non-Microsoft released products.

The Microsoft Power Platform has received positive reviews for its critical capabilities, with an excellent feedback for its integration capabilities.

As with all parts of the Power Platform, PowerApps supports drag-and-drop visual development using its “canvas app” approach, while a “model-driven” approach using Microsoft’s Dataverse (formerly known as CDS) to generate the UI.

PowerApps includes UX design tools, providing a set of controls, components, navigation and command for users to build UX in a consistent way.  Additiopnally it offers a very intuitive low-code/no-code UI framework for compositions and building custom controls for web and mobile apps.

Power Automate gives the legacy applications and manual workflows in your organization a revamp through RPA (Robotics Process Automation), allowing for rapid building and iterating at scale.

Power Automate is the tool to create data connections and associate relationships and workflows. Flow process modelling is heavily constrained, though, compared to other process modelers.

The Power Platform offers more than 350 out-of-the-box connectors to popular on-premises and cloud data sources. Integrations may also include Azure Logic Apps and more IT customization by involving Pro-Developers in addtion to the Citizen Developer roles..
